People i had a noise like that and it turned out to be the water pump bearing.
The other thing it could be is the idler pulley for the air con belt..

new problem

Just got over the overheating problem and developed a new prob.
The engine has a flat spot when you accellerate, and a very slight surge
when driving.
The flat spot is at any speed, the surge is constant no mater how fast you drive.
Anybody had this problem?
Thanks...[/b]

I am getting a code 02,

Crankshaft sensor (02 fault)

Is this a major problem?
As my car is still driving okay.
Is it something that is going to cause me major headaches.
Should I get a new sensor?

Just a quick note to let everybody know that the over heating problem was due to a blocked radiator...

But after all the problems I was having I decided to check the water capacity of the radiator and found that it was still only about 40% of what it should be.
So ...
