Re: WTB: B6 Block (4 cyl)...
Not much closer but I do have a spare block, actually the B6T block but essentially the same. If you are needing the crank, main caps, etc, I have them too. I would love to get them out of my storage room so make a good offer and pay for the shipping and they are yours.

Re: Can i ....(b6t question)
Read my faq in my signature. You can't easily use the GTX ecu or harness. Get a Protege LX ecu and plug it into your existing harness, use that harness to run your B6T.

Re: s-afc and fmu Q
however on the MAZDA V6, our ECU does not use the VAF for air flow readings at WOT. when the VAF reaches it MAX reading it relies on a set fuel and timming map in its memory, so the S-AFC is useless on the Mazda K series ECU since it modifys the VAF signal going to the ECU.

adding power locks to existing wiring
I am planning a few projects for the next couple months and need some advice regarding the power locks. I am switching to power windows and will be getting the correct harness for the doors to activate them. Does this harness also contain the wiring for the power locks? If so, can I just tap into ...

Re: Anyone try this muffler?
Looks nice, my only concern though are the rivets and how well they will hold up. I just bought a muffler off of ebay, similar design but all 304 no fibre, can't go wrong at those prices. I think the silencer is a good option too. Just curious, how are you running your exhaust? I am redoing mine ...

Re: S-AFC idea
Ok, Here is what I have from a post on Miataforum.com dating back to 2001. A user by the name turbo95EGT wired his S-AFC up with a 2 bar MAP sensor in order to control 460cc RX7 injectors. Idle was set close to -50%, under boost he was at -25% running 13.5 psi and EGTs of 1525-1550F (which is dead ...

Re: rebuilt bpt
For one thing, if he adds any other performance parts, ups the boost, changes the timing, gets bad gas, runs C16 or any other change for that matter, he is screwed with the reprogrammed ecu whereas the standalone can easily compensate. There is no debating it standalones win hands down. Find any ...

Re: S-AFC idea
I printed off the discussion of the non-variable to variable voltage TPS from the Miata.net forum plus the MAP sensor conversion for the S-AFC. I will try to dig them up and see what it says (tomorrow though as I really need to do some school work).

Re: S-AFC idea
You could swap it but the plugs are completely different. Ours is a 3 wire TPS (if my memory serves me), yours is a 4 wire. It has been done, essentially using the MAF voltage to signal the TPS. It doesn't work that well though, the guy who did it later switched to using a MAP sensor to trigger the ...
