sweet. thanks tunes i appreciate it. also a few minutes ago i went to the engine. turned it over. VIN on the block says 94. so no worries. im at ease about the b6/bp thing. i looked at rock auto. 230 for full kit.

edit that. i see 323 only came in SOHC

according to tunes description it should be a b6. has valve cover over timing chain and gears. also exhaust manifold had stamp of - b6ck. engine had stamp on head of - b-551-5. be a relief if was b6 . i had no idea about bp needing that much chang. what did bp come out of?
and for yoda- my chiltons ...

how can i determine if it is either a b6 or a bp? i got it at a junkyard. was told came out of 93. my car is a 94. so i needed a dohc

well i looked at autozone and oreilly's and i have looked online. ill check the dealer

anyone know where i can get a good price on a full gasket set for 1.6 dohc out of a 93? everywhere i look it is outrageous.

Hey guys, just bought my g/f a 1994 red MX3 w/ the 1.6 and an AT. cars runs good enough just needs some minor odd and ends. Dealer wanted 1300, got it for 900. if anyone knows of a parts car in my area. definately give me a shout. thanx.
