k8 cap will work fine. I am guessing you kept the stock K8 disty on your ZE?

I highly doubt it is a ze disty. I would say it is a k8 one. Check it and see if the part number TOT57171 and i think the earlier ones were TOT57071

The klze disty with 6 nippels comes from the eunos800 and doesn't work on an obd1, I have tried it.

you sure about that ? I would assum the 7 nipple disty came in the eunos800 (millenia) since they had an external coil and a maf. bUt I could be wrong though

Sorry to hijack the thread, but i've got a ZE and have gone through 2 kl-01 disty's (K8 ones) in the last week!! Coils went bad on both of them! My ZE came from a eunos800 with a kf-34 disty attached which i assume works ok. Anyone know how i can MAKE it work on our cars? I think there's a difference in the wiring of the 3 pin plug but have been unable to find any info on here.
Any help would be appreciated.

Go external coil if you like saving money, better performance and reliability. Gro's got a great how to.... Cost me about a $100 CAD total...... stealership wanted $569 for a new distributor ROFL.
