Couple Questions

Post by Talsyk »

I had a 93 Black GS which I sold (and now regretting very very much) and I was looking into getting another. Before I do however, I want to look into a few things.
1.) Has anyone else noticed a pool of oil that collects on the front valve cover in the GS's or was this specific to my car? If so, any remedies out there?
2.) Are the SE's seats still available for sale anywhere? (both front and back, but the rear is most important.)
3.) Did the SE's have the multi-colored inserts in the doors, or were they one solid color to match the seats?
Thanks
Ryan Wilcox

i used to have oil build up. are your seals blown? Pull out your plug from the valve cover and see if there is oil all over it. I had that. It cost me alot of cash to get my engine resealed.
------------------
Edgar Paredes

i had the same problem. you need to replace your valve cover gaskets and probably your spark plugs. it cost me about $400 usd to do that. it seems common with the k series v6's. hope this helps.
------------------
Ray
'92 GS
tharaynman@aol.com
