to use the bpt ecu, you need the whole wiring harness. the problem with that is that the bpt ecu doesn't fit the in-cab harness(b6), and the bpt engine harness doesn't mate to the b6 in-cab connection in the firewall. the pro lx ecu of the same year as your car will work fine(94 and below) as far as the tranny, yes, you can use the stock tranny by modifying the the passenger driveshaft. it will hold the hp. i just think sniper has had a run of bad luck. but if you plan on putting out mad hp(180+ to the wheels), it is best to get the pro lx tranny. no such thing as a pro gt, but the escort gt will also work. also, if you get the pro tranny, you do not have to change your motor mounts. the b6 tranny brakets won't mount to the pro tranny. you just need the tranny mounting brakets from the pro lx along with the tranny. it all mounts up perfectly.

well from what i gathered from derrick (i even talked to him today) is that what you need is the 1.8 BPT that bolts right in the pro 90-94 tranny that bolts right in the pro 90-94 axles that bolt right in plus the motor mounts and brackets. also you need to get a 2nd gen rx-7 turbo model fuel pump. for all that plus mandrel bent intercooler piping ( i already have the intercooler) plus 200 dollars for shipping to dallas tx and the s-afc and the act stage 2 or 3 clutch with the stock flywheel. i believe thats it. he quoted me about 2600 for shipping and everything. and i know of a guy whos gonna install all of it for about 600 dollars.and im gonna just keep my stock ecu.
and thats what i know. if u have any q's just ask ill try to help.

jeremy cline
95 mx-3 rs 1.6l DOHC

you don't need the motor mounts. the 1.8 fits the 1.6 mounts. i've also been talking to derrick for the past month or two. you don't really need mandrel bent pipes. it's an added bonus if you want to pay for that. but regular pipes from a muffler shop are cheaper and will work fine. you might want to get the pro ecu. from what derrick said, it's the best one to use. i've heard of idle probs with the stock b6. but everything else you stated is the same as what i've been told. i just need to find out for certain about any wiring issues.

What i really suggest is that once you have everything about to go into the car, sign on with the Escort GT yahoo group, as there are about 5 or 6 VERY helpful guys in there that already have done the swap, or turbo'd the NA BP motor. Some have stand alones, some have used other methods for fuel and ignition control. Looking through the archives should basically answer your questions.

stock b6 FUEL pump delivers the required amount for the BPT!....Thats what J-F Therien told me, his BPT is running fine!

but he also hasn't done any upgrades either. if he want more hp, he will need more fuel.

some ppl can't go off and sell their rs for a gs. my rs is bone stock from the factory and now. now, the tranny is slowly dying on me. it doesn't have much value. i can't go buy a gs, and then dump another $2500-3K on an engine. the kl engine would cost as much or more than my rs.
a b6t or bpt swap costs less than the kl swaps from what i know. its just beefing up different engines.

They are reknown around the world as about the best small displacement turbo engines on earth, along with the SR20DET, and a few others. I see that you own a honda. How many honda engines have stock bottom ends that will take 20+ lbs of boost?
