94 mazda mx3 - 1.6L, 5speed - driver side axle problem
The driver side axle is "stuck" on the inside connection. My local mechanical spent a couple of hours trying to uninstall the axle to no avail. Any ideas?

Hi!
So, there's a spring clip that sits on the axle that holds it inside the transmission (part #1 in the manual link below). There are many methods that people say get these things out.

Here's a few thread from the forum on the issue. They should give you some ideas.

There is an axle puller you can probably rent it. I used one and the axles just popped out.

I used giant wheel/tire iron and wedged it between axle and transmission and pulled on it, axle popped right out.
