Has anyone seen the sts remote mounted turbos by sts what is your opinion of this setup.
1995 J-Spec Az3, BPT swap, mazda speed eibach springs, mazda speed swaybars, mazda speed exhaust, mazda speed shock tower bar, mazda speed bodykit, sr shocks, disk-brakes all around,turbox boost controler, honda del sol act pressure plate, fmic 20x12x3

i think its cool idea but would it be bad for the turbo to drive over puddles or in rain?

Apparently alot of domestic guys (camaros i think) use this set up. As i hear it they say its all the rage and love it.

their universal kit is almost 3 grand and doesn't come with much... is it really worth 3 grand?

Do some research before making claims like that. A properly designed remote turbo kit is very efficient, and not laggy. Dont know where you pulled that from.

Its pointless for a small displacement motor, but in cases where hood space is limited and exhaust routing is difficult, they are an excellent way to boost.
94 Mazda MX3 GS - 395 whp 397 ft lbs untuned on pump gas and stock KLDE 15 psi boost. now running 16 psi and E85.. numbers=? 425ish whp

See I have always said this would be a great way to do a setup with a V6, instead of having to do all the engine bay modifications...

This would be an excellent way to do our cars! I managed to squeeze the turbo up front, but a properly sized turbo in the back would be just as efficient.
