well my day started out going to the yard getting my stuff(8am) 3 hours later back at my house(11am) with the new harness ecu, and rail..went and rented engine lift(12am) lifted old engine out(12:30am) disconnected tranny from old motor and changed flywheel and clutch(serious tight bolts on the bp)(1:30pm) put the flywheel and clutch on the bp(2:15pm). pulled old wiring harness and ecu(3:30pm) well anyway you get the idea right now it's 4:30 am and I just finished everything and i got in to start her up.....and the starter wasn't engaging so i was just like ok fine i'l just roll start it....but when i walked to the front of the car there was a giant trail of fuel....So i decided i was done for hte night.....and where can i find the firing order for my disty? or sprk wire goes into which slot on my disty?

Since you now have both fuel rails (EGT and Pro), could you visually let us know what the differences are. Maybe a few pictures, please and thank you.

For those guru's out there... will an EGT wireharness work with the Protege fuel rail?

well I can tell you the difference. on the ford bp the return is on the right and the sending line/in line(some reason i cna't htink of the name) is on the left.
I have a quick question about them though can i use the injectors off of the ford on the pro fuel rail? or do i need to use the pro injectors? i'm wondering because i got my motor in and while i was starting it up. i noticed i had a serious gas leak...so i looked at it and it looks like the injectors arn't getting a good seal? not sure if thats because of the age or incompatability

You did buy new o-rings for the injectors, right? That is an absolute must. And be sure to oil them up before sticking them on.

u can use the egt injecters on the mazda fuel rail but each injecters come with 2 seals. top and bottom. total of 8 seals bottom seals are differnt from the top seals.

ha well i didn't do either one I guess i'l do that tomorrow....I just pushed them in with a lot of difficultly and bolted it in. but yeah it was definently leaking from the injectors mostly from the top only a little from the bottum.
