so got a mechanic to swap it over. But apprently i puff a bit of smock when i shift at like 7 g. my buddy who has ze in probe says its normal cuz something in engine cant keep up with something else. But any other theories the mech pulled no codes.

Wellf**k buddy, no **** you're puffing smoke at 7Gs... why are you reving it that high anyways?? the peak HP is at 5.5 last time I checked. :throwup:

Who doesn't shift at 7,000 RPM? My great-grandmother would shift at 7,000 RPM if her car revved that high.

and the last time i checked, unless the motor has KL01 cams you make your peak at 6500 with the KL31s

ya, i never rev my ZE past 6500 b/c it makes ZERO POWER past there... I have revved it to 7500 once, but I didn't want to blow the head gasket or bend a valve.

I'll go to 7k in 1st. The jump from 1st to 2nd is a little wide. If you don't rev it that high in first when you shift it drops out of the range it makes power.

Yep, sometimes it's not how high you rev to get power, its how high you rev to make sure you stay within the power band...

same here, that's the only reason i drop at 6500-7000 is cuz anything less any youre out of the powerband. and if im not mistaken vris opens up all the way at like 4k? right?

To answer your question it is perfectly normal to puff alittle smoke when shifting at 7000. Especially for a motor that has some miles on it. However the more you shift that high the worse it will get. Wear and tear ya know.

Does anyone have a pic on where is the crank sensor is? Also the knock sensor, please!!! :crying:

crank sensor is right beside the crank pulley and the knock sensor is between both heads under the manifold
