From my experiences, subs/ports pointed to the rear of the car. My bandpass box < 2 boston 10"s> sounds best this way in my mx-3. Sounded best the same way in my protege. My buddy has a 12" soundstream mule <sealed box> in his '89 nissan 240sx <sr20det swapped> and it sounds best pointed back. Another friend has <87 supra turbo> 1 12" digital designs sub sideways, port back, that is a loud *** sub.<p>And a few others i don't care too mention.
