i'm in the uk, we cant get seafoam over here, so i used a kerosene based flush, some people swear by it, some say dont use it, but it worked for me, and it is only in your engine for 15 minutes on fast idle.

very satisfied! :D and thats why i posted, i read alot of post from people asking about top end noise, rattle from the rear bank etc, and the way i read it was it was more than likely the idler gear, so its really a heads up to those with similar rattles, a quality flush and 5w/30 FULLY synthetic ...

miracle cure?

Hi guys,
like alot of owners, i just suspected the rattle/tick/vibration on the rear bank as cam idler spring or whatever its supposed to be, it wasn't the high pitched tick tick of hla's or was it? anyway, it was time for an oil change this weekend, so i used the search function...and several hours ...

ok, before you all tell me to search..lol...i know how to do it, im just having trouble sourcing the parts here in the UK, im trying to source the rubber couplings, to go on the VAF and throttle body...i've tried our DIY stores, but they dont stock anything, what is it you diy guys ask for?

Well i found the problem :D the parts store sold me a 24 volt bulb! :evil: it threw me for a while, but i finally checked the bulb! so all is well again...for now

taped up my intake and she started! god bless her! also she was a litle low on oil, engine has always been a little tappy, seems thats the way they go, she has done 157'000m! thanks for the help
