Yes it is a fidanza fly wheel. Kevin gave it to me when I bought the car from him. It was in his collection of parts to be installed, but had not got around to it pile. I can take close up's of any of the parts if anyone needs them.

I can drive half way and meet you if that helps :P. aircare is something we have in BC, your car has to get emissions tested to make sure it is clean enough to be allowed on the road...It is a failed program that is being ...

Re: Timing Belt issue. Second Time in 2 months.
I agree! It is just to see if that is the problem or not.
Looking at my pulleys, they look very shinny, I will look in the manual on how to pull off the buggers!
Thanks

I am having one of those days today.

Re: Timing Belt issue. Second Time in 2 months.
True, I am keeping my fingers crossed for that. It is just showing the exact same symptoms as last time. Hoping that it is the serpentine belt, and not the timming belt AGAIN. That means it could be... ->My pullies are polished or glazed ->The bearings in the tensioner/idler pulleys are shot ->tensi...

Timing Belt issue. Second Time in 2 months.
So 2 months ago my timming belt started squeeling(Yes, the back of the belt can rub against the cover to make a squeeling sound). About 1 week later, it broke. I got it replaced and everything was fine until 2 days ago, and it's back. When I start my car it sqeels for about 1 minute. Then it is fine...

Re: Timing Belt Replacement
timing belt replacement ftw.
It was the timing belt after all. Replaced it and started like a charm!.
From what I can see the old belt got really lose and was rubbing against the covers. Causing the squealing sound. That's before it broke![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
Thanks for your help everyone!

Re: Timing Belt Replacement
To tow the car would be around $200 as it is a good 30Km from my house. I want to at least try and fix it first!
I will take the oil cap off today and look at the gears when I turn the car. If the belt is broken, the gears should not move. Should that not show if the belt is broken?
I think![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)

Re: Timing Belt Replacement
Yes, where the teeth on the belt meet the pulley. I can wiggle it around and put my figure under it, it's not tight

Re: Timing Belt Replacement
Well when it would squeal, the radio would go hay wire and once the car completely shut off. No other belt that I think of would effect the car that much. And it has had troubles starting in the past week since the squealing started. I would have to pump the clutch a couple of times to get the car t...

I was about to leave work and my car started squealing while I was driving and then my engine shut off. After talking with solo_rider and checking my belts. I can stick my finger under neath the...
