lol the big end is bigger than the bore, haha i never saw that coming!! only on the worlds smallest passenger v6 eh?
nice clean solution he came up with though, and you end up with floating pins too!

Re: Internal engine interchange.
ah yeah, I've been searching high and low for his posts... only found ones where hes talking about boosting it, and then one where he was about to stroke it  ... never found the thread of his build. What exactly went wrong? I know that the piston pins are 1mm smaller on K8 pistons and thus the ...

Re: Internal engine interchange.
alright! found out some info it looks like the mains are the same, 62mm What I want to do now is stroke a K8 with a KL crank and rods (piston pins are 1mm smaller on K8 pistons)..why? I dont know... i think it would be interesting to have a near-square K-block... 75mm bore x 74.2mm stroke with 1.85r...

You can deduce from the two graphs that using a K8 ECU on a KL would result in a loss of torque (and therefore horsepower) from 1,900-3,900 rpm, and again from 4,250-4,700 rpm, leaving aside any differences in fuel/timing maps. again, good detailed info! The KL-ZE has different VRIS points than the...

... not to kill your motor but may affect power, there are differences in VRIS activation points that definitely WILL affect power This is exactly what i'm experimenting with. I have a KLDE with ZE intake mani and (half the) ZE cams... actually KL01 cams on the rear and KL31 cams on the front :p an...

finnally found it... and for YOUR convenience (if anyone was wondering the same thing)
both closed from 0-1900
both open from 1900-2800
VRIS 1 opens at 3900 (this works for me!)
VRIS 2 opens at 4700 (this also works for me!)
and both close again at 6300....(a little too early for me, but not too bad)
