KL03 Connecting Rod

Post by 1992blazeredgs »

I plan on re using my stock KL03 rods in my rebuild. However, rod number 6 is no longer round due to a spun bearing. I have been watching probetalk for almost 4 months now and i can not get a single good stock rod off anybody parting out. So does anybody know where i can get a single KL03 rod for cheap so i can start getting my motor together??? I have thought about maybe upgrading but i will be running a mostly stock motor and i am on a budget. So i cant really afford that route or will really need to upgrade. Thanks

Nate

I think I have a few extra rod/pistons lying around. PM me your address and I'll check this weekend.

I find it hard to believe you couldn't find one on ProbeTalk. When I needed one, I just found a couple guys who talked recently about blowing a rod or who were rebuilding thier engines with upgraded rods. Found three people willing to sell to me.

Well, if it's worth it to you to not have to wait, Flatlander Racing has new KL replacement rods for $37 each.

Good luck finding somebody on there to sell you just one, buy the set, i see them from time to time for $50-$100.

Hard to believe you couldnt find some in 4 months.
