if you want exotic, then try one of the sequential gearboxes they used on the BTCC mondeo's and whatever the mazda equivalent was (Ian would know what the UK mazdas were called)

Yeah, that's kinda what i thought the case was, now i just need to rear-end a 5spd Presso! Just outta curiosity, what did you pay for your broken MX6?

MX6 Gearbox

Hello, i've found a MX6 5spd front cut 4 sale, i currently have an auto, my question is, will the MX6 manual gearbox fit, or do I need a MX3 manual 4 the conversion?
If it doesn't fit, what parts can I use, and what parts do I still need?

Reliability of parts,....simply the stock transmissions were not designed to cope with the power of the KL, even a K8 causes trouble for some. There is no way the beancounters at Mazda would have been prepared to sell a 'hand-grenade'. The only way the MX-3 could've been sold with a KL or KF, would ...

Flushing the cooling system is good, changing filters, (bit late for the oil filter though), either use a K&N panel filter for the standard airbox or check out the homemade intake in the FAQ, clean or replace spark plugs,....

Ummm, did you reconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor? in any case there are wiring diagrams and such in the online shop manual @ MX-3.com
