Gigantic difference.
Why would you fret over the maybe $20-150 of a proper manifold on a $1000 swap?

Re: still burning too much gas...
200 lbs is a lot, thats like a girlfriend and a half in the car. I don't quite understand how you're comparing your car to what 'people say it feels like'. Maybe you just have high expectations. Seat design plays a big role in how 'fast' a car feels, so does the tune. a shitty tune might feel fast d...

Re: still burning too much gas...
The engine has a map for all running conditions. cold idle, hot idle, cold cruise, hot cruise, wide open throttle, overrun, all throttle transience, etc. It makes corrections based on other factors, too VAF reading, ECT reading, O2 reading, AIT reading, perhaps others. Any of these things could be a...

Re: still burning too much gas...
Indeed, this is a VAF setup. ECU does a calc to determine airflow mass. narrowband sensor, it can still run rich due to breathing mods. Not catastrophically so, but it can.

Re: about to change rear valve cover gaskets need help
intake manifold gaskets are overrated. use a THIN skim of RTV instead. A thick bead will press into the runners as an obstruction and possible valve damage-r.

NGK BKR5E-11's
the tried and true plug. iridium/platinums have given people trouble... but I haven't tried them personally.

Re: Volumetric Efficiency
This number changes dynamically according to (basically) RPM versus Throttle position or MAP. It also depends on a few other details. You won't find a VE table unless someone somewhere has written a tune for a B6 with your EXACT setup. Any cheap tunes are called Alpha-n, which is RPM versus TPS. Thi...

Re: cooling fan motor
Did you try the diagnostic mode throttle bump?
I know when I had my 1.6, the first time the fan came on is when I did that. There was a HUGE cloud of dust. the 1.6 just doesn't get very hot.

Different bore.... if KL piston rises above deck surface, it will not work.

..... Do you understand the concept of the probinator chip?
Yes, it will, that is the entire point of the chip. When you get the chip made he'll ask for your modlist, and he'll build it accordingly.

Re: Trans cooler
Unless its an ATX... then do bother. an ATX actually generates heat (a MTX basically does not), and will suffer from it.

Just don't bother.
No benefit, expensive, and you're just adding weight.

Re: Coil On Plug Conversion
.... Stock engine controller sends out a pulse to the disty for every spark event, and the distributor sends it to the proper cylinder. COP requires the controller to distribute the spark, because you're eliminating the distributor. So, now you need some electronics to know which cyl gets spark when...

Finally got a moment to breathe... at 11 PM, so I tried to adjust my projectors. One points about 10 degrees too low. The adjustment screws.... are crap. the whole light wiggles. A lot. I'm probably going to remove them and re-vamp the shittyness. Overall not impressed with the quality of the light....
