So really, whats the difference between K8 Mani and Curved??

I know I am going to sound like a big time noob asking this.
I have both intake manifolds. I am wondering, besides the ports of a K8 not matching with the heads a of a KLZE, what is the main difference between both intake manifolds?

Say if someone port matched there K8 Manifold to KLZE heads. Not only that, but they correctly set there VRIS points to accommodate the K8 manifold. Would there be any significant performance difference between a curved neck manifold vs. a K8 manifold?

Can't you see how small the runners are on the K8 IM vs the curved neck? There's serious airflow restrictions there alone.

Why would you fret over the maybe $20-150 of a proper manifold on a $1000 swap?
