Re: K8 87 or 91 Octane?

For MPG, research has proven that 89 octane is the best value. Higher octane generally nets more MPG, but cost per mile is best with mid grade. I get 35 MPG FWY in my stock GS with 1.5 oz. Acetone per tank, and 33 in my ZE. Dang... I'm lucky if I get 21mpg on the freeway in my stock 1.8 K8... And l...

Re: Clogged CAT?

aerodynamics is a very complex science... the movement of air has to do with diameters, the way the diameters change, the frequency of the pressure changes, the amplitude of the pressure changes, temperature, temperature changes, the curves.... lots and lots and lots. But sometimes a bigger path is...

When the CAT is Hollowed out does the Diameter of it affect the backpressure in anyway?
Or is the cat the same size as the pipe it's connected to?(Like meaning when hollowed it would be like a straight test pipe?)

K8 87 or 91 Octane?

I put 87 in my car, but I was wondering if anyone has put 91 and if it makes the K8 run a bit better or not? The reason i'm asking is 'cause my car runs really weak(you know..) and was wondering if I could benefit some power/better MPG with the 91.

Anyone?

Re: Clogged CAT?

So, To get the bolts off; I need penatrating oil? I tried WD-40 But the bolts wouldn't break for me... I don't have any money to spend right now, so I was wondering If a gutted CAT( Someone told me that's Bad to GUT one) would work better than clogged?

Re: Mx3 Problems... HELP! :(

Yeah I wish I had enough money for a KLZE... But hey wouldn't a "gutted" CAT be better than a clogged one? Hmmm.. I wonder if my problem could have anything to do with the PRC silinoid?? And Oh I found out it does smoke sometimes... like when I push on the throttle hard. I drove the car to...
