Re: Salvage/Weckers in Calgary

Hey Seven,
I was pretty much prepared for the worse in terms of wreckers.

Its a 92 blaze red v6 its got pretty high km (290k approx), the body is in good shape. It was running great then I took it in to get a service and it would not start at the garage. Apartently the disty does not put out ...

Distributor compatibility

I need to replace my distributor for my 92 v6 1.8l , but have only been able to find ones from a 93 V6 1.8l and a 94 V6 1.86 (TOT number is 57071.) I have heard there are various sizes etc would either of these two fit in my 92.

Thanks in advance Hutch

Re: F/P to GND Jumper (Newbee question)

Well, i gave in and got the damn thing towed to a proper machenic. And the verdict is that the jumper does indeed force the fuel pump run when the inigtion is on (perfect diganosis Shameem). By messing with it i managed to totally flood the whole engine thus it was not starting at all. Basically its ...

Re: F/P to GND Jumper (Newbee question)

Thanks Shameem,

Now after investigating it, the damn thing will not start at all, :crying:
Its cranking but no spark which was probably the problem in the first place, the distributor is fine, any ideas?

I only paid about 1000 cad for the car so am wondering if its worth even trying to get it ...

F/P to GND Jumper (Newbee question)

I recently purchased a 92 V6, and while familarizing myself with the engine. I found that a jumper as been put in the diagnosis connector box from f/p to GND, along with some of the most amatuer wiring work on the face of the earth.

After removing this jumper there was no spark. So my question is ...
