Well.... of course I want to go faster, thats just an unwritten rule  . I'm still gonna stick with the V6, but just make room around it. Thanks for the info though. I dont remember seeing where it T's off cuz i think there was a line that came right from the side of the IM and right into the cr...

I read a huge post about this before, but... re-read my post, I'n not looking for gains, I'm looking for room in the engine bay. I really dont care about the possible .03 seconds it will take of my 1/4 mile, I just want to be able to shift things around so that I can do some significant mods. You kn...

Manual Tranny System question
My previous mazda was an auto and the one I bought a few months ago is auto as well. I plan on swapping to the 5spd (much more fun). However, I have never worked with the manual setup before so I know there is a clutch slave and master cylinder but I stess again, I have NEVER worked with this subsys...

A/C and cruise control removal
Is it possible to remove both the A/C system as well as the cruise control system without intefering with the engines operation altogether? I figured I could just diconnect the harnesses for them and just bypass the a/c compressor with a different belt but I dont know if theres anything that would g...

my old mx was salvaged and the window wasn't put in correctly and it used to leak. it wasn't that bad until winter came and i had to scrape the INSIDE of my windows. It used to always make me laugh. hahaha, I remember that as well. My sunroof leaked quite often and in the winter, being near Buffalo...

def check on those bc I had the same problem a while back with my first MX3. I also found a clunk after replacing the ball joints and cv's, turns out I had a broken spring on my drivers side. It was broken at the top so each time I hit a bump it would clunk. Just another idea. The ball joint/ CV axl...

Take a look at Pakfeifer.com, corksport.com, nopionline.com, or even eBay stores, they have quite a bit on there and sometimes cheap. This is by no means an exhaustive list but it will give you a start. Good luck. Also, do some research in the forums, I found quite a bit of info that usually answer ...

Ever Hear of KoeniC Springs?
Just as the topic reads, has anyone ever hear of KoeniC Springs? If so, has anyone ever used them before. Someone is selling them brand new for cheap and they dont have any idea as far as how much of a drop their is. If anyone knows even just a little bit about them, let me know since it would be mo...

I am glad you found the problem. Replacing it is a bear, but you will be happy when it's done. When I did mine, it took a looooong time, only because I live just south of Buffalo, NY and I worked on it in the middle of a snow storm (I was dedicated :) ) If your gs is a manual tranny, put it into gea...

I know, loose change in the fuel tank would suck, haha! I really did get lucky when I found tmy GS because I was planning on spending at least 800-1000, which is to say I wasnt planning on buying one until next spring but this deal came up and I took it. After I got through the rough talk from my wi...

Just an update, I have gotten the blue smoke under control for the most part but the exhaust seems VERY rich (smelling pretty strong). The car was sitting for about 2 years before the guy sold it to me so the coolant resevoir has some gross stuff in it and the oil was pretty sludgy. I've done a coup...

Thanks for that information Patdiesel, I knew I would have to have the heads resurfaced but I never thought about the block. I am sure that I'm not going to take the block out to have it surfaced. Here is what I am thinking: I bought this 94 GS with 164,000 miles on it for 400 bucks. Its spits blue ...
