[WTB] driver side seatbelt track 92-93

Post by kudkudniyog »

Good day!!!

My car already had the seatbelt recall done over 10 years ago. My seatbelt is now stuck in the middle of the track and would not move.

If anybody has a driver side seatbelt track w/ receiver for sale, I am interested in purchasing it.

Thank You.

Mazda USA will do it for free brand new. You have to take it in and ask them to call their rep as it is a safety concern with the belts, Ive had mine done twice now just make sure you approach them the right way and if they give you trouble ask for their customer relations rep.

I already went through with this issue with the local Mazda dealer. They said the recall repair can only be done once. I even showed them the copy of the recall.

This is what they sent me:

Alex,

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, after receiving this email I sent it to my Mazda rep it does appear there are some lifetime components that are covered on the seatbelt system. The best thing to do at this time would be to set an appointment so we can look at the vehicle to determine what will be needed for the repairs…

Let me know when you would like to bring the vehicle in for service!

Thanks,

Matt

go manual belts. It saves a BUNCH of weight, its easy, and you never have to worry about the track ever again

That means set an appt. and take it in... Sounds to me like they are willing to help you, you just need to set some time aside to drop the car off to them. Lil hint most dealers will be a bit more helpful if you can leave the car with them too as its easier to work in with finicky techs that dont make money doing recall/warranty work. The parts that arnt covered are the door switches and door latches that are part of the belt system but thats not whats failed in your case.

Just trying to help, Its not like I work at a Dealer or anything like that  ...

Manual swap is 100% worth it.

As of yesterday, I FINALLY have everything I needed. I just finished bolting in the proper lower mounts, and it's way better now that my carpet isn't unattached on the sides. -.-

I love manual belts, no chance of going back!

I will schedule appt and see what they have to say. On the other hand, I will start gathering part for the manual seatbelt conversion.

Thanks guys!
