would a K8 A/C hook up to a DE or a ZE once you swap one in....im putting a AC in the MX-3 now but when i get to th states im putting in a DE...could i keep the A/C?

Yes. Don't flex or bend the metal AC lines they tend to break easily.

The only connection between the A/C system and the engine is the compressor and they all use the same one. It will bolt right up to any K family engine just fine.

The whole A/C system stays in the car when you pull the engine.

I simply tied the compressor to the front grill and swapped engines. Rebolted up the compress and as they say,,,we was chillin. :wink:
