Choices for strut bump stops?

Post by MrMazda92 »

I'm curious what others have done in this area, since there seems to be a lot of options.

My stock ones are too worn to go on with my Ground Controls, and the dust boot doesn't fit either. May as well replace both while I'm at it, but I'll need a much lower profile boot to clear the springs.

Any suggestions? What have you used?

I used Energy Suspension one's on my setup but it wasn't actually my own idea because i bought my whole setup from someone off here a while ago but i really like them and would use them again if i were to get a new suspension setup for the GS

this isn't a great picture but you can see it on top of the yellow box there.
I might have a better picture but i need to go out right now so if i find it i'll post it up

I went to the picknpull and found a low km escort and took the struts apart and got all the rubber parts for $22.

Thanks guys, I'm actually looking into this a little more in depth now, there's a hell of a lot more to it than I'd thought. Good stuff though, definitely worth the read!

I am running ZX2 stock fronts and Tociko Blues in the back all on Eibach springs. If that helps.

i'm in the same boat, gc's and zx2's and been running about a year now no bumpstops or boots. the gc's have a smaller inner diameter that causes issues fitting normal stops(i tried).
been looking into energy suspension bumpstops but i'm gonna email ground control and see if they have any info.
