Dash removal

Post by garfy1981 »

I've got this far, and still can't get it out, removed side panels and everything
It's loose at the front but held at the rear
I'm thinking that the front panel near the window screen pops off to reveal more screws
However I'm sure the front screen will need to come out for this ??
Any ideas ?

No you do not have to remove the windshield... pop off the little plastic squares to reveal some phillips head screws. I used this type of screwdriver:

yah there is one square plastic cover right in the middle. Pop it off and there is a screw there, then you can take the whole piece off that is against the window. Under that there will be a screw on each end and one in the middle. When you pull the dash away from the windsheild you will have to unhook the vents and the wire garness behind the drivers instrument cluster. Mind you this is how on a left hand dash but it should work on yours. Good luck.

Keep going at it! No special tools required. Stubby screwdrivers and wrenches are your friends. Let this be a motivation: :)

The annoying thing is I have one of those tools somewhere.
Cheers for all your help, im amazed at how quick the responses came in!
The dash is going to be flocked and have a bit of a make over.
I keep you posted in its progress
