After the cat, the flange is flat. The next pipes flange that connects with the cats pipe is flat on the outside edges by the holes for the bolts but on the inside its pushed in. Almost like a circular cut out in part of the flange. I went to Advance Auto Parts and they didnt have the part number for it but gave me something else to try

Does anyone know what part I need to use in this spot? I was thinking it would be more of something like these

Exhaust Flange Gasket
Re: Exhaust Flange Gasket
BTW, I have a 1995 1.6L
Re: Exhaust Flange Gasket
my apologies, both flanges have the indents in them. Like a donut gasket would be in there.
Re: Exhaust Flange Gasket
The exhaust gasket on the muffler to the pipe behind the rear tire calls
for a donut type gasket that gets mashed in, like this one here:
Is that what you mean?

Re: Exhaust Flange Gasket
Umm try Canadian Tire.. I went there to get a gasket for the muffler gasket as Partsource had no clue what I was talking about.
Or hit up Mazda and get a part number.

Re: Exhaust Flange Gasket
this could be it. From the rear my muffler and then a pipe all the way to the cat pipe. The only gasket like that is the one from the front down pipe to the cat. Both flanges that connect have a circular cut out in them as if something like this gasket would fit in there but wouldnt crush? Idk, I guess whatever works will be fine since no one knows what im talking about at the auto stores. ThanksMi|<E wrote:The exhaust gasket on the muffler to the pipe behind the rear tire calls
