After a long time I have probably found a problem in my MX-3's ignition system. My problem is primary coil in distributor, I've checked resistance and it is 1,6 Ohm instead of 0,85 Ohm (max). Searching the internet I've found out there are more parts in the disty than the coil and it all messed up in my head, unfortunately.

I need a new coil for sure, but I've also found an ignition module, is it something different or is it part of the coil? Are primary and secondary coils mounted "together" in one part? Should I change ignition module when changing coils in my disty?
The car smells of unburned fuel, oil level is OK, no bad smoke coming out the exhaust. I have new wires, new plugs, new disty cap and rotor. So I think faulty coil could possibly cause bad ignition.
Anyway, back to the question, do I have to exchange igniter together with exchanging the coil?
Thank you very much for any advice.
