What Clutch for 1.6l B6de for 180-200whp
Hey guys what clutch would you recommend for a 1995 1.6l B6de?
I don't want anything really beefy just what can hold 180-200hp since stock is at 105hp
Also, who makes the stock clutch for the Mx3?
I found this on amazon and exedy is pretty good but states it is OEM I could not find a stg 1 exedy clutch for this car
http://www.amazon.com/EXEDY-KMZ04-OEM-R ... &carId=001
Thank you!

Is this brand a good clutch? It is rated to handle 195lbs/ft torque and that would be a great choice

I also found this Competition Stage 1 that is rated at 40% - 50% torque capacity but not sure if that is enough but I am familiar with Competitions clutches and know they are good.

Take whatever torque rating you want to make and add some.

Re: What Clutch for 1.6l B6de for 180-200whp
So I think I'll be going with the Spec Stage 1... there is like a $75 price difference and I think 195lbs/ft is a good enough capacity for a low boost build.
I'd like to have the competition clutch stage 1 but it doesn't tell its capacity other than 40-50% more than stock. What is the stock one rated at? I'm sure it is above what the car actually has as typically they design stuff to exceed minimum requirements.
Any insight?

Thanks for the help guys. The SPEC Stage 1 is only $239 shipped so that's not a bad deal at all just wasn't sure on the quality of Spec clutches.

So how long have you been using Spec Stg2 clutch? You are happy with it?

the SPEC is awesome. No issues what so ever. Grips very well with stock feel.
I'm still not tuned but have put a few hundred Kms on the current setup. It's a good brand and I would go with the same clutch if I were to do it again.
