Tire size 195/65/15

Post by Lateralus »

So for my gs the size recommended is 205/55/15, but for some reason that size in my area is rare, and expensive ($150 a piece)

So i was told by a tire shop that 195/65/15 would be the next best fit, and I can get them for around $65. Wondering if anyone else has used that size or anything different than stock. (with the Enkei rims) Just worried that it will look terrible.

195/65/15 is 4.6% larger...too much.

195/60/15 is closest...only 1.2% larger. I ran them for about the last 4 years.

you could also try a 205 50 15, its a very common miata tire and a lot of places have them on the cheap and gives you a little more sporting handling. check out tirerack.com or tireseasy.com for prices

I ran 195/65R15 for a long time. Its not ideal, but it works if you aren't demanding a lot from your car in the corners and cost is a major factor.
