Reverse light on all gears

Hey, the reverse light stays on in all gears forward and reverse (92 v6 manual tranny). Swapped out the sensor to see if it would go away and it still stays on. Have not had time to check the manual but does anyone know what is wrong or how to fix? Thanks, Monte.

Even with the switch disconnected?

I think I remember Ian having this problem, he didn't put the (enough) washers for it, so it went in too far into the trans.

Did you resolve this issue?
It must be awkward at stop signs and red lights...
