How long its been! What is up MX-3.com?

Post by Juans_93_MX3 »

I'm sure most of you dont know me or remember me.
I'm just wondering to see if there is anything new going on this website. Any interesting discoveries?

Any famous members get out of the MX3 game lately?

I haven’t been on here lately at all. The story goes like this. In Fall of 2008 my MX-3 went into a comma. I was swapping the 4spd auto tranny for a 5spd, aswell as changing the K8 engine over to a ZE. I had a few problems and could not finish the project on time. I thought I would be able to get it done in Spring of 2009, nope did not happen. I just not enough time with work and school.

Summer 2009 came and I decided to strip the car’s body and repaint it as well as fix the swap problems. I ran out of time and the car has been sitting in primer sense. I came close but was two weeks away from finishing.

Fall 2009, school was killing me. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and the courses started getting intense. Since than, I been too busy to work on the car, but I hope this Summer I can get the car done.

Mechanical Engineering is going great. Its a challenge and what I been looking for in college. I ether have 2 or 3 years left. If I finish in 3 years from now, I will have alot more time to party, internship work and do other stuff I like because I will be going part time. If its in two years from now... first year maybe real busy.

Till then, I am driving a lame a-- 95 Honda Civic EX with the 1.6L Vtec engine. I do not see why people mod these pieces of s---. The interior sucks a--, makes me feel like I am driving a car from the 1980s. The handling sucks compared to my MX3, however, atleast it’s a 5 speed. Its still pretty slow like the MX3 with the K8.

I had to change the lower ball joints on the car… what a pain in the a--. The MX3s LBJs were much easier to change.

MX3s > Civics

Anyway, I hope all is well on here.

Welcome back...yeah, there have been a few changes...aparently, after a vote, the members of this site have decided to change this site's name to Honda.com......NOT!!!!... But seriously though, welcome back...I've been away from this site for a few years too, until recently, as I've finally been back from deployment long enough to resume my build. Hope yours turns out...and post pics.....of the MX3 that is, not the Civic

Welcome back. I remember you, but I don't think we ever knew each other internet-personally.

Solo parted out and sold his car, bought a Nissan. (Nd4SpdSe remembers all the other things)

What else? Thats about all that sticks out, you'll come across it all eventually...

KLG4 manifold is going through the paces, still unproven. Check Probetalk for that.

Mech Eng eh? We should start a club. I'm just finishing my second year. I've got all but one of my math courses out of the way, so it should be smooth sailing from here, since I do well in the real, physical realms of fluids, thermodynamics, and mechanics. Currently studying math 2- power series, differential equations, and laplace transforms, for my exam on monday...

Hey man! Welcome back. I'm still lingering of course. Picked up an Rx8 in fall, stored for the winter, but she'll be on the road in about a week and a half.

hppwdn was selling his beast. Mx3autozam parted out his turbo Mx-3, is driving a Golf now. fowljesse's car was in an accident. Franko actually still has his, but isn't around and it doesn't see much road with him now having '08 WRX. He was trying to sell it at one point. Deb is still looking for one, lol

Mechanical Engineers of MX-3.com, that would sound good to me. 8)
Yeah, I am also a second year student. Right now I'm at Weber State doing Pre Engineering (the first two years).
Physics for Scientist and Engineers 1 and 2 were hard for me. Everything else was ok (Calc 1, 2, 3).

Thermodynamics and Strength of Materials was easy for me. Right now I am doing Math: Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE) and Linear Algebra combined in one class.

What book are you using for your Math 2 class?

Other than that, I am taking Dynamics, Materials Science and Strength of Matericals.

This summer I hope to be able to take a Electrical Engineering course for non majors, C++, Matlab and Numerical Methods.

Transfering to the Univeristy of Utah for the fall

I remember you. It feels like I'm one of the last "old timers" left on this board. mx-3's are great cars, they're just not replaceable. Mine is daily driver and it needs bodywork/paint but its great car otherwise, gets good gas mileage and still handles better than most cars out there today.

Hey, my car is gone now but I am still around like a bad cold.

Don Jaun, glad your back. Maybe this time around you will have some questions worth asking. People that know you from way back will know what I mean :P

It seems like several of us still have our cars we have just been preoccupied with life... I should have my car back on the road here in the next two months or so. I cant wait! i would so much rather drive my MX then my 8.. is that weird?
