this could be many options. What was wrong with your engine? What did you work on/touch. Could be as simple as a VAC leak.

Does it stall or does your key actually turn into the off position? <- if it does that I would say get a priest.

What is the year,model,tranny info?

Funny, mine was stalling when I stopped too if I took my foot off the gas abruptly. Two weeks after it started my fuel pump went. Replaced the pump and no more stalling.

where did you place the filter? Did you remove any hoses when working on the intake? If there is a leak you will stall like a mofo

Na i put every thing back in its place. But this one day it was weird i got home and i let go of the gas pedal and left it in neutral and the car accelarated its self and it stayed like that for about 3 to 5 sec and it stoped and went back to normal it was pretty weird. But im still guna go ahead and check if thers a leak.

Probably you need a TBI cleaner and to adjust it, there is a thread here in the forum, just use search tool.
It can be a vacumm leak as RS_OBS'oh_2 sad, or any closed hose after the air filter installed. If you retired the air filter intake box the thin side vac hose must be openned or the engine will die when you stop the car, or when you press the clutch.

It's an extra air source to the tbi when you keep off acelerator, or when you turn on the air conditioner.

Could also be a MAF/VAF problem. When i bought my car, it was doing the same thing and it was because the maf wasnt plugged in well. it was sticking out a bit.
