Tips for Blowing a K8? LOL

Post by cWs306 »

hey everyone, so im about to start to my engine swap soon here, wondering if anyones got any tips on how to blow a k8? LOL... Would just having it out of gear sittin in one spot with the rpm's threw the roof for a while do it without harming the tranny or anything needed for the swap?.. and i'd consider this a technical/performance question :P LOL. later.

why waste a motor? it won't do anything anyways, 9 out of 10 times it will just stop or slow down to a stop, nothing dramatic. Plus if anything "cool" happens then you have a mess to clean up.

If you want it to blow...

take a handheld propane torch, let it wide open, stick it into the intake, start it up with a brick on the throttle and run.

Thats what I would try :)

yah thats what i was thinkin.. but its not really a waste, the motor's practically shot anyways. i'm probably just gunna give it to a junk yard or w.e and that would do a little more then just blow up the motor hahaha. thatd be fun to see tho :P

Add one of those oil additives like Duralube then drain the oil and see how long the engine will run with no oil. Once you do that contact Floyd Stebeck at Duralube and tell him what happened. Make a movie of it.

Dan, your idea is way better.

Use the money you made blackmailing the company on wiseco internals :)

Sorry misread your post. Ok here goes,,

1. First clean the tail pipe off
2. Wrap your lips tightly about the pipe
3. Create a vacuum/sucking action
4. Swirl tongue around pipe end
5. When engine backfires you've done it.
6. Wipe any residual from pipe and offer the motor a cigarette.
7. Bask in the after glow. :D

I think Car Craft or Hot Rod Magazine did that awhile back with a Pinto or Vega or something. Crammed as much nitrous into it as possible they got their 1/4 mile time down pretty far with the stock carbureted 4 banger before it blew.

Definately...but I'd have to go all out and spray a 200 HP shot of nitrous though...might end up with the fastest K8 1320 time on record

200 shot... would probably blow the intake off the motor. LOL let alone make it down the track. thats pretty much double the hp the motor's got.
