Actually those tires are on the short list for the 8, she needs new tires when she gets on the road.

Mx-3 had Kumho MX's up front, and Escta 712's in the rear. Also in 205/40/17, but next batch I was looking into getting something bigger/wider for the front (see: Pontialc GrandPrix GXP)

215 would make them wider? do you think it would look better then 205?

Yea, 205 has a smaller sidewall too, 215 is abit more beefy and you can still get lots of tires in that size. That is all I ran on my 17s and I liked them better then 205 40 which is too small anyways. 215 40 is closer to OEM circumference

I'm a little worried that you have to ask if 215 is wider than 205.

I'm rolling on 235/40/17 toyo r888 pricey but stickey but i'm also running a 1/8 spacer on all 4 to clear. If you are looking for the best grip thats the best way to go. If money is a concern then look at a 215/40/17 no need for spacers look at the kumho ecsta xs, dunlop z1 star spec, sumitomo htr z3, falken rt615 or fk452. NOTE; a 225 45 17 will not fit well it is too tall you must do some serious grind to the bottom of the front spring perches to make them fit and roll your fenders as I bought some tires at a track event that were that size but did end up working with some serious mods.
94 gs ze swapped, front mount oil cooler,b&g springs, kyb gr2 struts, vris deleted, gutted, racing 4 point harness. centerforce dual friction clutch, BREMBO ROTORS X4, CARBOTECH XP10 front pads, ebc green stuff rear PADS, corksport brake lines & clutch line, hei mod w/ msd blaster 3, MAZDASPEED motor mounts, B&M short shifter, M-FACTORY LSD, Carbon fiber hatch with lexan window.
