Mutha effin speeding ticket!!!

So supposedly I was clocked going 130km/h in a 110km/h zone. The officer was parked on the left side of the road facing the opposite direction slightly angled. So he may be lying about even clocking me.. I had my cruise control set at exactly 119km/h.
So there are 2 scenarios.. the cop is a pos lying sack bag
or my speedometer is off.. as I think it may be

If I find my speedometer to be off do you think they would drop or at least reduce the ticket???
Proof being having a mechanic looking at it and seeing it's 'broken'

Show up in court with a nice hefty repair bill for a 'faulty' speedo and the Judge may suspend sentence.

Odd sized tires? Just plea stupid, you had no idea different sized tires affected the speedometer.

Well, hard to say, he should have legit proof if he didget you doing 130. I could personally double-check a GPS, see what it says. Although that's not really something that would hold up in court, but after that, I'd bring it to a mechanic, get him to look at it. He doesn't have to fake that it's not working properly. Even if it is, it shows that you suspecting something legitimately wrong and took the initiative to get it corrected. Most wouldn't go to that extreme if they were lying.

That being said.. how exactly does one repair a faulty speedo. Just replace the cluster?? My tires/rims are stock i just have eibach springs..
my glo guages shouldn't be off that much either??

Not really, either the speedo is messed, the wire feeding it is shot or the sensor/gear inside the trans is going. But you'd see funky stuff happening, not something as simple as it being 10% off
