air pressure in tires

Post by mikeetown »

So,

I'm thinking that my MX-3 is getting slower. As the weeks go on its still great but meh! Then, I decided to check my 195 - 60 - R15 tires air pressure. They are nitgrogen filled and dont look low at all haha. They were about 12lbs low each haha. That is from not checking once since last oct 1st when i bought the winter tires. But ya, I put air in and now my mx-3 feels great

Its the little things haha!!! Just thought I'd share a random moment

I get the same feeling after an oil change.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Nitrogen filled tires are over rated.

I fill my tires with a special mix of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon, and trace amounts of other gases...

The benefit of nitrogen is that the tire pressure should not fluctuate, so either they were not nitrogen filled or someone did a shitty job of sealing your winter rubber.

Yah they shouldnt fluctuate that much. I lose maybe 1 PSI a month tops. Mostly due to the crazy temperature fluctuations living in Calgary and all.
