JDM heaven with a surprise

Post by djmarcopolo »

Well I stripped the 1.5 Eunos this week of all its good bits and after I fit some M3 style mirrors back on it I will be selling it on again completely stripped of goodies to go on my Equipe.

Out of it I have got....

Jdm Front splitter
S/S sill plates
Wraparound spoiler
Original MX-3 Folding mirrors with switch
Eunos badge

plus something else I have never seen before

It came with a pair of these, this car never came with fog lights fitted at all so I have a pair of these JDM grills, totally original, !@"* to remove, they have 2 bolts on the back of the bumper mount for them and then another on the bumper with a bolt going through.
One is damaged but can be fixed with a large jubilee clip the other is perfect, never seen them before and wondered if anyone else has because they are a big surprise. They have a Mazda part number stamped on them and they are exactly the same size as the plastic grill in the front fender

You can just see them fitted where the fog lights are meant to be

I have seen a pair of those foghole covers on ebay. Mark (Mooneggs) pointed them out to me.

Part of me would really love to have those folding mirrors.

What DJ meant was Power folding mirrors... came standard on most of the JDM Pressos/AZ-3s

Those grills are nice... I've got a set (of course)... I was thinking someday of using them to route brake ducts/air intake to...

Yes power foilding mirrors my mistake, they are the first pair I have seen in the UK fitted as standard to a Eunos as they are nearly all MX6 conversions.

The grills I have never seen before but will also be up for sale soon, they would be Ideal for a forced induction kit but I like my fogs too much for that

I had tossed around those same ideas...but I like the look of the fog lamps better. :)
