I don't know what you mean by ignition, but you could use their normal switched power source and just run your trigger wire all by yourself. use the wiring diagrams found in the 1995 online manual.
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

You know, I did an override on my rad fans, that I think I ended up doing it tapping into the fuse box in the engine bay for either ABS or A/C, cause my car didn't have either. Just had to add a fuse and get the right spade connector that connects to the pin underneath.

If you're powering the relay, that's fine, but if you're actually providing power to the fans, that won't nearly be adequate!

Yep just the relay. Have the fans connected to the battery.
