They dont. BH proteges have three upper bolts as opposed to the MX-3s four. (EC chassis)

90-94 Protege (BG) will fit.
91-96 Escort (BG) will fit.
90-94 323 (BG) will fit.
91-95 Tracer (BG) will fit.
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

Just the coil spring?

If thats the case, it should work (as per rockauto.com part number interchangeability). But I dont think any one has tried using a BH spring on a BG/EC car. Or vice versa.

Which springs are you looking at?

I would vote no unless pre 1994 protege. There are lots of things to consider. The angle at which it meets the spindle, the length, the width of the spindle, the ride height, the spring diameter, and if you're talking inserts, the strut diameter.

1994 and up protege is the BH chassis, and we are not compatible with that chassis.

The important thing to note is, that although rockauto lists a compatible part number, from the factory most of these cars have different spring and damping rates. Going to an aftermarket universal spring or using the factory spring from another BG chassis will affect handling. Not the end of the world, but something to think about.
94' RS/GS/MS/CF Monster Turbo...coming soon.
93' GS SE, the Black Beast, the former love of my life...soon to be gutted and crushed.
94' GS, black on black, now in several small pieces...and one large crushed piece.

94 is BG, 95-98 is BH.
