New BP engine as it is today. 6 months after I bought my MX3

Thanks to MIl/es worklog on the website and many others I managed to swap out an engine and tranny from a 92 Ford Escort GT that I bought on craigslist for $500.


Things on my MX3 from the escort:
Engine
Tranny
Driveshafts
ECU
Wiring harness
Green 15 inch rims cuz my MX3 had ugly 14" steelies, just sanded and painted the green rims black.








Notice the rear wheels are crooked. I drove into a tree one night and messed up the side of my car a lil bit, and all my axle assembly got bent so I replaced the whole rear axle assembly, but its nothing an alignment cant fix.









So far Ive painted the hood black so it can match the lil wing in the back that I got at the junkyard. and put 5% tint all around, you know keep it gangsta.

How are the escort axles treating you? Any binding or pulling apart?

Your bay looks a little rough, is that blue wire for the VICS? Are those tan zip ties? What happened to your cone filter? Also, you need a Mazda valve cover

Shitty on the rear end. I'd swap that out for a GS subframe. Fix your bent suspension and give you rear discs all in one I'd do it soon too, you'll crap those tires right out in no time driving with that much camber.

The escort axles are doing great. no pulling or binding. the blue wire is a coat hanger I found in my car to block off that little vacuum port lol and those zip ties are on this electrical outlet wire thats hooked up to the middle of the block somewhere and im not sure whats its for so its just chillin their.

Oh and I couldnt connect the cone filter from the 1.6L to the square MAF opening on the BP so I just kinda made a custom air intake, not the best but it sits right in front of the radiator fan and its blowing alot of air to it

Lol thanks I guess.. what do you think I should do with that electrical wire??


The only thing messed up on my MX3 right now is that my check engine light nevers turns on and my charging system light is always lit. Can someone help me with this I want to see if I have any codes.
