custom strut braces and body braces, help?
ok im building a strictly preformance mx3 and i am going to be building strut braces and body braces to strengthen stuff up a bit. should i weld them up completely, or should i have just the mounts welded in and the bars bolted? any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

why would you do either? Maybe a stitch weld to add a little here and there... but you'll have to remove the struts or work on the engine one day. You'll want to be able to remove them.

Or, skip all that and build a roll cage. It does the same thing, but better and is what you should do for a performance MX

roll cage is waaay too much weight than what i want. i gutted this thing down to the skeleten, i am currently in the preocess of removing the sound deadaning material as well, looking for a klze motor and trans right now too. ill probably wait to do the front strut brace till after i finish everything in the engine compartment.
