What did your "cruise control kit" conist of? It's not as simple as you may think. If your car is not a GS and did not come with cruise control, the wiring harnesses will not have the wiring for it.

I've transplanted factory cruise control into my RS, and it's A LOT of work.

Are you talking about the dash buttons or the steering wheel buttons?

Do you have a steering wheel that will take the switches, if not you could mount them in your steering cover behind the ignition switch. What year is your car?

I have a 94, and to the best of my knowledge its not set up for it. But I could be wrong. I'm not worried about mounting it correctly, I will only use it 5 or 6 times a semester to go home from school, its a 7 hour drive.

Belive me it's more work than it's worth. Your harness has to be changed out or at least modified unless your a genious with wiring it's a huge job

Hope you have deep pockets. I'd say 5 minute calf stretch breaks will pay themselves off better.
