[GI] Carbon lips

Post by AaronTietje »

I am hoping to have a mold made this summer for producing an OEM look carbon front lip for our cars. (Im thinking 1-piece) :D :D :D

What I am trying to figure out is who may be interested in one of these?

I will be making the mold and a number of lips regardless of interest on here.

Pics and updates will follow. 8)

If you all could keep an ear out for a good lip, let me know as I don't have one yet.

I think you should make carbon copies of your sides as well

I think 2-piece would be better also.

If you want I can get pretty cheap OEM lips- IIRC they cost me about 250 shipped for a whole brand spank'n new one from Mazda. PM me if you are interested. I do not check back here consistantly.
I cannot get side skirts since there are not any of the NA ones left for sale, but if you mold some I would like a set of CF or FG ones (NA style).

I was looking at my new Euro mini sides that I just got yesterday and they look like they would be quite easy to mold.
As of now, I have a line on a lip up in Albany NY. It is slightly cracked, but I think that it would do ok for making my mold.

Did someone say Euro Mini Sides? LOL..... I would be happy if these were available to purchase
at a moments notice. Also.. i'd like to give my vote for the 2 piece lips as one of mine is a half.

I would be all over making full length sides FIRST, however, getting a set to make the mold is some what of a problem.

I have a CF front lip and it is 2 pieces... I would definatley recommend making it 2 pieces similar to the OEM design. It will give it a heck of a lot better chance of not breaking while shipping!
