What is the wire connection under the Drivers seat for????

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

I just bought an Mx3 not to long ago and found out that there is a wire connection under my drivers seat

mine was unpluged. :?

Anyone know what it's for??

seatbelt signal, IIRC

unplug it to stop the chime when you drive around with out it on.

Methane Detector / Unaccounted for Vibration Detector

Ya you better plug that in, its for the methande detector as mentioned above. It can be somewhat dangerous for passengers and possibly the enviroment if its left unplugged.

Also, I thought it was for the electro ejecto seato. :/
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

in my car it has a complete box under the driverseat it also dissables the power seatbelts.......must be to make easier for evacuation if methane level gets to high
