did your gauge come with directions?
What type of gauge/sending unit?
Did you try to search?

when you decide on the gauge there should be instructions. I believe there is some info on this in the worklogs. I know Mike installed one, but not sure if there is a write up on it in his WL. Do you need one? Or are you just looking to add an extra gauge?

The oil gauge should come with a new electronic pressure sender that you will have to put where the old one was. Its on the back side of the block, close to the firewall.

I got a glowshift oil pressure gauge, the new sender had the same threads so I didnt have to re-tap the hole either. (this is on my bp)
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

I've yet to hear of a failing oe oil issue. you might be spending $ that you don't need to. But don't let me hold you back. Just don't rush it, get a pod and keep it clean looking. Don't forget to make a worklog.

sounds good. IIRC Mike went with an autometer, and it came with the correct fittings for our cars. Search around and find something you like. There are many companies that offer a good product. Just keep in mind the pod size vs the gauge size.

Jegs has autometer stuff

you need electrical, not mechanical
