So I changed my front brake pads and rotors today, well at least tried :/
everything went fine until I went to put the caliper back on, the pads fit over rotor but the part of the caliper that the bolts go through does not fit over the part of the steering knuckle that they bolt into, so i cannot get the calipers back on. I feel like an idiot and have no idea what it may be. I only pushed the piston back using the old rotors and pads and a flathead but I am pretty sure its all the way in. Has this ever happened to anyone or do you know what the problem may be? Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: thought i should add thats its a 96 gs

Re: Front caliper issue
Hehe.
Put the caliper on, with the back pad. put the other pad into the frame, and put the frame on. Do not try and put the entire assembled caliper on at once.
