calling out the corksport guys! let's get some mx-3 exhausts

Hey guys, this is directed towards corksport DIRECTLY.
i have been an avid buyer of all your products, and have to say your customer service is EXCELENT.
now, my only beef...
Where is the mx-3 cat-back exhaust???! lol
i know i've spoken with Derek (pardon if i mispelled it) and he said they might if there is enough interest.
So....i suggest, we start a thread to see if there is enough interest.
i didn't do it on the FS or WTB sections because i'm not either selling nor buying.
So...
here's my suggestion....
i have the drift exhaust on my miata and LOVE IT.
is there any way yall could come up with a kit like it for the mx-3s?
i'm sure most of us are tired of our stock exhaust (if any of us have one anymore), and would like an actual mod from you guys.
hopefully in two different versions...
Stainless Steel for the ones with $$$, and anything else for the rest of us.
Any ideas?
guys, let's post and get some exhausts built!

i was hoping $200~ for steel, $300~ for stainless. their drift exhaust for the miata is only $350...
and it's much more complicated, in my opinion. mx-3s are pretty straight. miatas take a lot of turns and bends. although for $300 flat, it would be a killer system.... (free for the one who brought up the idea?

)

There's also a much larger market base for Miata parts, so they can afford to sell at those prices. They likely figure it's not worth the R & D for the few people who may buy it.
That being said... I'd be interested.

ditto, but corksport would be THE ONLY ONE to sell it!
i pride myself everytime someone has a mazda part related question, and all i gotta do is call them, and they always have what the person is looking for. i feel so bad for them though, i call like once a week. lol.
but, like RE-amemiya, taking pride in being THE ONLY ONE to offer a mazda product might persuade them into making this?
besides, i'm sure we can come up with at least 5! that alone would be like $1500. granted they spend some of that in the initial runs, but they retain the knowledge and can offer it.
and since the v6 and i4 exhaust don't differ much, it'll be a one fits all. so win-win.

For $500 you can bring your car to an exhaust shop and have them do a custom one off exhaust. Its not like our cars need to be re-tuned after for flow or something.

my issue is how loud a custom exhaust sounds.. I'm afraid to think of what it sounds with my BP in..

you can get your exhaust shop to help you out with suggestions on making it quiet but still retaining the increased flow.

One word, Magnaflow. Buy their cat, resonator and muffler and your gold. I advise you buy the longest resonator you can, probably the 17" as it gets a little noisy. I had a Magnaflow on my last MX-3 and I loved the sound and now my entire system is Magnaflow. I do plan to install a longer resonator as the short 12" one tends to drone a certain rpm's.

didn't know i could get a custom one done for 500 dollers, i always hear people saying their exhausts costed around 1k so i assumed it was around that to get a custom one.
If this gets done i would FOR SURE be interested

A local muffler shop here quoted me $300 to mandrel bend an exhaust to fit for labor. So, $300 + cost of muffler, resonator, and cat. Shouldnt be more then $500 total.
