Anyone else have reduced-voltage high beam DRL's?

Post by Shades »

I've noticed on my race car that the DRL's are the low beams at reduced voltage, and on my winter SE that the DRL's are high beams at reduced voltage.

Anyone know why they switched it?

Oh I have Spyder projectors on both cars... that's how I found out.

Yep. I'd say you wired up the projectors wrong on one car..

Hmmm... so it seems that the DRL are wired wrong on the 1996 car that I have and the 1993 SE is right.

I did not wire the projectors as they are plug and pray, and I checked the plugs on both sets of projectors and they're both wired the same... so it's the car's wiring that's screwed. Might as well just unplug the resistor box to save on killing my bulbs.
