Any1 remember: ultimate engine shoot out?
Several years ago, while I was still into American and German cars, someone (I think it was an oil company) had a contest for engine builders to get the most horsepower/ displacement out of whatever engine they chose. Air charge devices would be counted as more displacement according to their size. Does anyone know about this, especially the results?

Re: Any1 remember: ultimate engine shoot out?
HOTNESS!
Yeah, that's it! Thanks!
The Chevy got spanked. Twin turbo, and it gets the same HP/L, or less than my DE!
Well, that's why I love my car. I bet the Chevy engine weighs half as much as my entire car! The 1000HP turbo ZE would have won that contest.
I'd like to know how much it would cost to build each of those engines. Remember the Porsche that got over 1000HP with bolt ons?
Man, I wish I had money.
