You know you're obsessed when....

Post by Ryan »

Simply drawn from my house:

1. There is a car part in your kitchen sink, which you cleaned a few days ago. (Power steering resevoir)
2. You have enough tools in the trunk of your DD to do a timing belt change on the side of the road
3. There are car parts lying neatly against the wall in the kitchen
4. You have two partially dismantled cars sitting on stands on the driveway for everyone to see
5. There are car parts in your bedroom dresser drawers
6. Your garage shelves are loaded with "goodies"
7. You use the oven more often for car parts than for food
8. You only use the hair dryer for car parts
9. You randomly find car parts while cleaning the "stuff accolation" areas of the house
10. There's a jug of transmission fluid in the entrance

Thats enough for now

Front leather SE seats in your closet.
A sunroof, wraparound spoiler, and sideskirts up against the closet doors blocking you from using your closet.
Some jugs of oil in your room, and other "goodies".
Laundry room home to countless engine parts.
2 transmissions for mustang in the trunk of sunfire.
Mustang used to store mx-3 parts.
Store other car parts in other cars because there is no space left in your garage.
Borrowing your brother's "lean-to" to store one of your cars.

That's all I can think of.

There's a guy I know... who rewinds movies if there's an MX-3 in the background, while his girlfriend is trying to watch it.
That's all he'll admit to.. Oh, yeah, and using kitchen utinsils as tools; Bondo in the butter dish, etc...

...your desk is adorned with, 2 shifter linkage bolts, a bag of polyurethane bushings, a bag of sway bar end link hardware, a B&M short shifter, a collection of electrical switches from various parts of Europe and Japan (belonging to Mark), piles of receipts of every kind, a set of stainless steel brake lines...and I think a mouse somewhere.

When two Euro bumpers and a US bumper starts having an orgy on your bed,
and four sets of damaged front lips sit there crying, watching, unable to join in
a dejected muffler lies straightjacketed in a box
two plastic containers of parts misfits with lines of tools lay in wait for the right time to start the ReVoLuTiOn

^ you begin to personify your collection of car parts.... name them, give them personalities, and make them perform sexual acts, in hopes that they will reproduce.

yes I can totally relate... this is a great topic :welder:

This is the first time I've had a garage in my life. Before when I lived in apartments I always had to worry about getting grease on the carpet, or anything else for that matter. In my most recent apt. I had 8 rims with tires stacked in the living room and it always smelled like tires. I had 2 complete a/c systems sitting next to it, a straight neck IM and of course various rare and assorted JDM/EDM parts... :freak:

theres a highschool just down the street from where i work. all the kids come on lunch and i hear them ripping there cars up and down the road. there is a kid with a GS mx3 that has a broken exhaust piping directly after the cat.

when he comes down the road my ears purk right up. you can hear every shift and it just sounds so right. shifting and just knowing where the tone of exhaust should drop too.

is that obsessed?
